Buhari Appoints another Dead Person Into FCC

President Muhammed Buhari has appointed a deceased person into the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

The president had in a letter sent to the Ahmad Lawan led Senate on Tuesday, sought confirmation for 38 persons he appointed into the Commission.

However, observed that the number 12 man on the list of appointees, Mr. Tobias Chukwuemeka, representing Ebonyi state, is late.

Chukwuemeka, a former federal lawmaker, represented the Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency at the 7th House of Representatives.

The deceased, who was the pioneer majority leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, died February 28 of ‘over-weight’ related sickness. He was aged 59.

Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi had expressed sadness over the demise of Chukwuemeka, describing it as a “hard pill to swallow” and “a huge loss.”
