An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrates’ Courtroom on Thursday remanded a 38-year-old storekeeper, Kehinde Lawal, at Ikoyi Correctional Providers custody for stealing cartons of fish valued N299,000.
Lawal, who labored as a storekeeper at M-rag Nigeria Enterprises, on arraignment pleaded responsible to a two depend cost of stealing introduced towards him by the Police earlier than Chief Justice of the Peace, Mrs O.A. Olagbende
The defendant admitted that he stole the fish from one Mrs Rashidat Gambo on the pretext of supplying them to prospects and paying for them.
Following his responsible plea, Chief Justice of the Peace Olagbende, ordered that he be remanded on the Ikoyi Custodial Providers centre.
He adjourned the case till February 13 for overview of the details and sentencing.
Earlier, prosecuting Insp. Joel Ismaila, had instructed the court docket that the defendant dedicated the offences in April 2019 on Kadara Road, Ebute-Meta.
