Tidi gave the directive after an emergency meeting with security chiefs and leaders of Arewa and their host Igbudu community at the council’s secretariat, in Warri.
He stated the restriction will remain until peace is fully restored and guaranteed in the community.
The council boss added that the ban is also binding on ‘ladies’ night’ parties.
He further noted intended traditional rites within the community should be communicated to the council authority for necessary consideration and approval.
The chief priest of Igbudu community was stabbed to death by suspected ‘Hausa boys’ last Thursday for reportedly impregnating a Muslim “sister” and bringing “disgrace” to them.
