OAU sex-for-marks: Administration receives panel’s report

The administration of Obafemi Awolowo university Ile-Ife has obtained report of the investigative panel constituted to look into allegation of sexual harassment in opposition to Mr. Olabisi Olaleye, a lecturer within the Division of Worldwide Relations.

Motunrayo Afolayan, a 400 degree pupil within the division of Worldwide Relations, accused Olaleye of failing her in a Diplomacy course with code IRS 305 through the 2017/2018 educational calendar.

The Public Relations Officer of the College, Abiodun Olarewaju, in an announcement, stated that the panel, which was headed by the Provost of the Postgraduate School of the College, Professor Yetunde Ajibade has submitted its stories to the Vice Chancellor Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede.

Olarewaju stated Ajibade, whereas presenting the stories, expressed the gratitude of the members to the College Administration for the boldness reposed in them and their skill to discharge their duties with out worry or favour.

“The Vice Chancellor reinstated the dedication of his administration to zero tolerance for any type of sexual and emotional harassment.

“Prof Ogunbodede urged pupil or member of the College Group to avail themselves of the chance of the open door coverage of the current administration to report any infringement on their rights by anyone to the suitable organ of the College for doable investigation and redress,” the assertion defined.

Abiodun stated the College Administration will current the findings of the Panel to the Tutorial and Promotion Committee of the College for deliberation, who, in flip, will current the end result to the College Governing Council for remaining choice.
