The Senate on Wednesday authorized the sum of N140,383,591,000 because the 2020 funds for the Nigerian Communications Fee (NCC).
The Senate additionally authorized the sum of N11,594,920,847 for the Common Service Provision Fund (USPF) for 2020.
The approvals adopted the consideration of the experiences of the Senate Committee on Communications throughout plenary.
Chairman of the Communications Committee, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by the Senator representing Niger South, Mohammed Bomai, gave particulars of the NCC’s funds at plenary.
In keeping with Senator Tinubu, the Fee would expend, the sum of N39,297,044,000 is for recurrent expenditure and N20,863,699,000 for particular initiatives.
She added that out of the entire funds for the Fee, the sum of N8,129,462,000 is for capital expenditure, N64,208,446,000 for Switch to Federal Authorities, and N7,500,000,000 as Switch to the Common Service Provision Fund.
Out of the N11billion authorized for the USPF by the higher chamber, N2,354,055,799 is for recurrent expenditure, N196,108,610 for capital expenditure and N9,044,756,438 for USPF initiatives and programmes.
