Teenage girl stabs boyfriend to death over N3000 in Ogun state

A teen,  Miss Idowu Abosede, has been arrested by the Police in Ogun State for stabbing her boyfriend, Aliyu Ibrahim, to death with a kitchen knife.

It was learnt that following an argument between the 2 of them over N3000 the lady took from the place her boyfriend saved it, Aliyu pulled a knife to compel her to return it however she was unyielding and as they struggled over the management of the knife, the lady wrested it from Aliyu and stabbed him on the chest.

He was stated to have dropped to the bottom and died afterwards.

The Police Public Relations Officer within the State, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a launch said that one  Seriki Huasa in Sagamu alerted the Police that the suspect and her deceased boyfriend have been arguing over N3,000 which resulted in a struggle that ended the lifetime of the deceased.

Abimbola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP), added that the Seriki reported that the 2 have been dragging a knife with one another and finally the lady used the knife to stab the boyfriend on his chest which resulted to his demise.

The Police Spokesman defined that the Divisional Police Officer Sagamu, Okiki Agunbiade, a Superintendent of Police, gave directives to detectives, who went to the scene and arrested {the teenager}.

He famous {that a} blood stained knife used to stab the boyfriend to death was recovered whereas the stays of the boy have additionally been launched to his relations on demand for burial in accordance with the Islamic ceremony.

The suspect claimed that she got here to move the night time with the deceased and when she was about going within the morning, she took the sum of N3,000 from the deceased however he was not prepared to provide her the entire N3,000 and that was what led to an argument between them.

She said that it was the deceased who introduced out the knife and whereas dragging it with him, the knife stabbed him on his chest,” Abimbola said.

In response to Abimbola,  the Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has directed that the suspect needs to be transferred to the murder part of the State Legal Investigation and Intelligence Division(SCIID) for additional investigation and prosecution.
