Zlatan Ibrahimovic bowed out in controversial fashion at LA Galaxy on Thursday night by grabbing his crotch in an angry showdown with a rival LAFC fan, MySportDab reports.
Ibrahimovic was dissapointed at his team’s 5-3 Western Conference semi-final defeat in Los Angeles – first took exception to one fan’s gloating on his way off the pitch.
MySportDab reports as he walked from the pitch following his team’s exit against their rivals, the former Manchester United striker spotted one LAFC supporter taking his celebration to the next level.
Slowing down his exit, the Swedish striker turned to face the fan and grabbed his crotch, before smiling and being ushered down the tunnel by officials.
One LAFC staff member also appeared to attempt to confront Ibrahimovic after the gesture, but he was pushed away by a memberof the Galaxy coaching staff.
After going down the tunnel, Ibrahimovic then took aim at Major League Soccer, VAR and LAFC in an explosive post-match interview an hour after the match.
When asked whether he would be continuing his career stateside, he said: ‘What happens next year? I don’t know. If I stay it will be good for MLS because the whole world will watch it. If I don’t stay, nobody will remember what MLS is.’
